SEND Teacher: South & West Coast of Cumbria

is looking to recruit experienced SEND Teachers who specialises in profound and multiple learning difficulties.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to work with pupils from Early Years, right through to Post 16.

As a SEND Teacher you will:

  • Review, advise and support pupils with SEN.
  • Be highly motivated, with a sound understanding of the needs of students
  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for SEND students
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to work flexibly and autonomously.
  • Use special equipment and facilities, such as audiovisual materials and computers to stimulate interest in learning
  • Liaise with other professionals, such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists
  • Work closely with parents and guardians
  • Organise learning outside the classroom in activities such as community visits, school outings or sporting events
  • Manage behaviour.
